Air Fried High Protein Masala Chicken Thighs

One of my staples, I started eating this after i got bored by chicken breast. Thighs are just a superior culinary choice. They are soft pack more nutrients and lack just a fraction of protein that the chicken breast provides. Also they are damn tasty so get ready to swap your chicken breast with thigh for some time this recipe.

This recipe is a high protein low carb dish that you can pair with rice or bread of your choice. It is an ideal meal if you are looking to lose weight or are on building muscle.

Ingredients

Seasonings

  • Salt – As per taste
  • Black Pepper – 1/2 tbsp
  • Coriander Powder – 1.5 tbsp
  • Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tbsp
  • Kasturi Methi – 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder – 1 tbsp

PrepTime : 1 hr (marination) + ~16 min(air fryer )

Steps

1.Mix all the seasoning, oil and ginger garlic paste together. Also squeeze the lemon juice to the mix and stir it well. At this point the marinade prepared will be very dry adjust it by adding some water . I added a little morethan a tbsp of water to the marinade.

2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and mix it well with it. Now let the chicken marinade for atleast an hour.

3. Place the marinated chicken thigh to the air fryer tray.

4. We will cook the chicken around 16 min at 200 Celsius. but we will do it in two phases of 8 min each. First at the given temperature (200 Celsius) for 8 minutes.

5. Now flip the chicken so that we can cook the other side well too. and set the temperature and time settings to 8 min and 200 Celsius again.

6. Keep flipping the air fyer tray every 4 mins. and now you have the perfect tender chicken thigh.
